The NCET 2025, conducted by the NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the 4-Year ITEP. This program is offered at premier institutions like Central/State Universities, IITs, NITs, Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), and Government Colleges starting in the academic year 2025-26.
ITEP replaces traditional B.Ed programs by integrating teacher training with undergraduate studies, ensuring graduates are equipped to teach at foundational, preparatory, middle, and secondary levels.
