The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025, a gateway to the revolutionary 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). The NCET 2025, conducted by the NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the 4-Year ITEP. This program is offered at premier institutions like Central/State Universities, IITs, NITs, Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), and Government Colleges starting in the academic year 2025-26.  

ITEP replaces traditional B.Ed programs by integrating teacher training with undergraduate studies, ensuring graduates are equipped to teach at foundational, preparatory, middle, and secondary levels. 


The entrance test will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 178 cities in India and in 13 regional languages, aligning with the NEP’s emphasis on multilingual education. Here are the key details:

  • Application Window: 20 February – 16 March 2025 (until 11:30 PM)

  • Fee Payment Deadline: 16 March 2025 (until 11:50 PM)

  • Correction Window: 18–19 March 2025

  • Exam City Announcement: First week of April 2025

  • Admit Card Availability: 3–4 days before the exam

  • Exam Date: 29 April 2025 (Tuesday)

  • Result Declaration: To be announced on the NTA website.


Exam Mediums


To promote inclusivity, the NCET 2025 question papers will be available in 13 languages:

  • English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
